Volleyball Recap: Seymour Now 9-2 over Last 11 Games

After losing to Pigeon Forge the last time they met, Seymour decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Tigers on Tuesday.

Seymour was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 28-26, 24-26, 25-22.

Leading Seymour to victory were Isabella Hylan and Makenzie Warner. Hylan had 31 digs and two aces, while Warner had 22 assists and four digs. Those 22 assists gave Warner a new career-high.

Seymour has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Pigeon Forge, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 11-3 record.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Seymour will take on rival Gatlinburg-Pittman at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pigeon Forge is set to square off against their familiar foe Fulton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
