Basketball Recap: Bryant Skates Past Morrilton with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Bryant over Morrilton in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Hornets blew the Devil Dogs out of the water with an 81-48 final score. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Bryant had a senior duo take command as Rj Young shot 75% from the field en route to 21 points along with seven rebounds and five assists and Camarion Bead went 6-for-12 to rack up 17 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Young is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Spencer Ruff, who posted nine points.

Bryant was working as a unit and finished the game with 28 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Bryant, bringing their record up to 13-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.3 points over those games. As for Morrilton, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Bryant and St. Joseph will round out the year against one another at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Morrilton, they will finish 2025 at home by hosting West Memphis at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
