Volleyball Recap: Staley Falcons vs. Liberty Blue Jays
Staley lost against Liberty on October 4th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Falcons fell just short of the Blue Jays by a score of 3-2. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Blue Jays 25-17 in the first set.
Staley actually scored more points across those five sets (107-106), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-23, 27-25, 22-25, 15-9.
Kamiyah Harris paced Staley's offense, picking up 30 kills. Harris got some help from Lilly Horn and her 52 assists. Harris was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Liberty to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ella Anderson, who had 19 digs and five aces. That's the most aces Anderson has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lexi Brasel, who had seven digs and two aces.
Staley's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 15-19. As for Liberty, their record is now 10-15.
Staley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Liberty, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Park Hill South on the 25th.
