Whitney Young proved they can win big on Friday (they won by ten) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Simeon Wolverines 5-3. The Dolphins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolverines, too.

Luke Yolich was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

Whitney Young hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.

Whitney Young pushed their record up to 8-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Simeon, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitney Young will welcome Ogden International at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Simeon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Solorio at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
