Basketball Game Preview: Brennan Bears vs. O'Connor Panthers

Brennan is 9-1 against O'Connor since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bears will welcome the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Brennan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matchups.

On Friday, Brennan made easy work of Harlan and carried off a 63-39 win. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Bella Flemings continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last 15 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Deylamore Tapia, who shot 46% from the field on her way to 13 points.

Brennan was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They racked up eight more assists than Harlan's also-impressive total of 11.

Meanwhile, O'Connor came up short against Harlan on Tuesday and fell 59-50. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

O'Connor's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Brennan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 20 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Brennan against O'Connor in their previous meeting back in December of 2025, as the squad secured a 64-35 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Panthers' Simone Pryor, who went 6-for-9 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points.
