Softball Recap: Whitwell Tigers vs. Bradley Central Bears
After flying high against South Pittsburg last Thursday, Whitwell came back down to earth. The Whitwell Tigers took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bradley Central Bears on Friday.
Whitwell saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kasie Britton, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Mallory O'Neal, who went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
On Bradley Central's side, Kaylee Callahan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks.
