Volleyball Recap: Springfield Takes a Loss

Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Springboro Panthers, falling 3-0. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Emily Bennett paced Springfield's offense, picking up five kills. Bennett got some help from Taylor Clausen and her eight assists. Chloe Robinette and Maniya Soles kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Springboro, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Springfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Centerville on the 28th. As for Springboro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Fairmont on the 28th.
