Soccer Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

Springfield managed to keep up with Althoff Catholic until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Senators came up short against the Crusaders, falling 3-0. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, Springfield's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Althoff Catholic, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Springfield will be taking part in a tournament against Father McGivney Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Althoff Catholic, they will welcome Mascoutah at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
