Basketball Game Preview: Lancaster Eagles vs. Palmdale Falcons

Two dominant guards in Keelan Benjamin and Anthony Delouth are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Lancaster Eagles duke it out with the Palmdale Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Friday... The timing is sure in Lancaster's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Palmdale has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Lancaster will head into Wednesday's matchup having proved themselves against Antelope Valley: Lancaster took a 23-point loss the last time they faced off against Antelope Valley, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Lancaster came out on top in a nail-biter against Antelope Valley on Wednesday, sneaking past 53-50.

Lancaster had a senior duo take command as Dajuan Manning posted 18 points and Benjamin scored 17 points. Benjamin's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Meanwhile, Palmdale lost to Highland on the road by a 72-56 margin on Wednesday.

Lancaster has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-12 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Palmdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.

Lancaster beat Palmdale 64-56 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Does Lancaster have another victory up their sleeve, or will Palmdale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
