Baseball Recap: Capital City Comes Up Short

Capital City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-0 to the Jefferson City Jays, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 on Tuesday.

Capital City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Jefferson City, their victory was their 11th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-4.

Coming up, Capital City will venture away from home to challenge Belle at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson City, they will host Blair Oaks at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
