Basketball Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Riverdale can now relate to. They lost 92-71 to the Del Oro Suns on Saturday. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Del Oro got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabriel Bocardo out in front who went 7-for-14 on his way to 22 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The game was Bocardo's eighth in a row with at least 16 points. Keenan Starling was another key player, dropping a double-double with 20 points and 11 boards.

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Del Oro, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-8.

Riverdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Del Oro, they have already played their next contest, a 58-53 win against Desert on the 19th.
