Fruitland put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the McCall-Donnelly Vandals with a sharp 17-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Grizzlies, who have now won 14 matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Owen Baker looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.

At the plate, Fruitland got a massive performance out of Quinn Hood, who scored three runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Grosdidier, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Fruitland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McCall-Donnelly only posted a batting average of .000.

Fruitland's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for McCall-Donnelly, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Fruitland will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Vandals: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
