Basketball Recap: Peyton Tindell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Robinson over China Spring

Robinson was the 36-32 winner over China Spring when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Robinson Rockets took a 62-43 bruising from the China Spring Cougars on Friday.

Robinson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peyton Tindell, who posted seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Turnbo, who earned nine points.

Robinson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season. As for China Spring, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 12-13.

Robinson will host Lorena at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for China Spring, they are taking a road trip to square off against Connally at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
