Recap: Flint River Academy Wildcats vs. Fullington Academy Trojans
The Flint River Academy Wildcats had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Fullington Academy, posting a 42-6 victory at home. The win was just business as usual for Flint River Academy, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
Trenton Young looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 56 yards and four touchdowns. Cale Cartwright was another key contributor, rushing for 100 yards on only 12 carries.
Flint River Academy pushed their record up to 11-0 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.36 points. As for Fullington Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Flint River Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Robert Toombs Christian Academy at 2:00 p.m. on December 1st. Robert Toombs Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Fullington Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
