Excellence doesn't take time off. That's how and why Pinkerton earned the title of New Hampshire's most dominant football program since the MaxPreps era began in 2006. Sure, the four state titles are impressive. So, too, are the four runner-up finishes. But the fact The Astros have finished no higher than 17th in the state rankings and only out of the top 10 three times speaks to a continued level of excellence hard to match. In seven of the past 11 years, the Astros have finished either first, second or third in the New Hampshire rankings.

Coming in a close second with 334 points is Plymouth, which has an equally impressive seven state titles in the MaxPreps era.

Here is how the points break down:

1. 20 for a state title

2. 10 for a state championship game appearance

3. Other points are based on where a team finished in the final MaxPreps New Hampshire Football Computer Rankings presented by the Army National Guard. For example, if a team finished No. 1 overall, it would receive 25 points. If it finished 25th overall, the team would get one point. No points are awarded if the team did not finish in the Top 25.
