Volleyball Game Preview: Leola/Frederick Titans vs. Northwestern Area Wildcats

Leola/Frederick is 0-10 against Northwestern Area since September of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Titans will look to defend their home court against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Leola/Frederick and Ellendale meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Titans put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 win.

Leola/Frederick walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 28-26, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Northwestern Area had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Tigers.

Northwestern Area had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-14, 25-14, 25-21.

Northwestern Area's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Leola/Frederick, their win bumped their record up to 2-7.
