Softball Recap: Marshfield Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Marshfield was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They came up short against the Mosinee Indians, falling 7-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since May 14, 2024.

Marshfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Kraus, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Marshfield is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5. As for Mosinee, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marshfield will venture away from home to challenge D.C. Everest at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Evergreens will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mosinee, they are taking a road trip to square off against Rhinelander at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
