Baseball Game Preview: Evanston Wildkits vs. Glenbrook South Titans

For the second straight game, Evanston will face off against Glenbrook South. The Wildkits are taking a road trip to square off against the Titans at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Evanston fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Glenbrook South on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 5-4.

For Glenbrook South's part, Brady Ondrula looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ondrula has become a key player for the Titans: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 8-15 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Trey Ryno, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted over his last ten games. Clancy Rogers also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Glenbrook South's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-16. As for Evanston, they now have a losing record of 11-12.
