Softball Recap: Michigan Lutheran Has No Trouble Against Howardsville Christian

Michigan Lutheran's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Howardsville Christian Eagles as they made off with a 12-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won four matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Addison Peppers spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Michigan Lutheran got a massive performance out of Eli Halquist, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Halquist has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Lydia Holmes, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.

Michigan Lutheran hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive games.

Michigan Lutheran's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-5. As for Howardsville Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Michigan Lutheran will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair will be back at it again later today.
