After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Clear Lake, Willits was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Laytonville Warriors with a sharp 13-3 win. The Wolverines' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Mia Chavez was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Jones, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Willits' victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Laytonville, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Willits will challenge Middletown at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Laytonville, they will square off against Calistoga at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
