Spruce Creek got a great performance from Jordan Livingston as he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.
On the hitting side, Devon Crown was incredible, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Tyler Boyesen was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Spruce Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake Brantley only posted a batting average of .125.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Flagler Palm Coast). They walked away with an 8-5 victory over Ridgeview on Thursday.
Adam Kleinfelder looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Marion Clayton, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Shudy, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.
The win got Flagler Palm Coast back to even at 2-2. As for Spruce Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Spruce Creek has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Flagler Palm Coast struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
