Soccer Recap: McIntosh County Academy Takes a Loss

McIntosh County Academy managed to slip by Metter the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers came up short against the Metter Tigers on Friday, falling 5-0. The Buccaneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

This is the second loss in a row for McIntosh County Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Metter, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McIntosh County Academy will head out to challenge Claxton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McIntosh County Academy is facing Claxton at the right time seeing as Claxton is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Metter, they are taking a road trip to face off against Screven County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Screven County's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Metter's offense will have their work cut out for them.
