Volleyball Game Preview: Nucla Mustangs vs. Dove Creek Bulldogs + How To Watch

Nucla hasn't had much luck against Dove Creek recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m.

Nucla came up short against Plateau Valley on Saturday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15, 25-8.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Dove Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Ouray on Thursday. The Bulldogs not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since November 11, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

While Dove Creek won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-22, 25-7.

Nucla's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Dove Creek, their victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 3-14.

Nucla took their win against Dove Creek in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
