Baseball Recap: Muncy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bucktail on Thursday, Muncy came back down to earth. The Indians lost 13-1 to the Montgomery Red Raiders on Saturday. The Indians have struggled against the Red Raiders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Muncy now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Montgomery, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Muncy will square off against Warrior Run at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Defenders will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. As for Montgomery, they will face off against Northwest Area at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rangers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Red Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
