The Silverton Foxes will challenge the Central Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Silverton took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Lebanon 18-8. The Foxes have beaten the Warriors the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warriors has come to flipping the script.

Avery Wurdinger was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with six RBI, three runs, and one double. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maddalynn Ehrens, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Central made easy work of Crescent Valley on Monday and carried off a 13-3 victory.
Maeci Brown made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Emery Lushenko was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and six RBI. Alexis Christ was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They are 6-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Central's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Silverton, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Silverton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .351. However, it's not like Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .354. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Silverton might still be hurting after the 18-8 loss they got from Central in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Foxes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
