Basketball Game Preview: Millersport Lakers vs. Berne Union Rockets

Millersport hasn't had much luck against Berne Union recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Millersport Lakers will welcome the Berne Union Rockets at 12:30 p.m.

Millersport is headed into Saturday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They came up short against Fairfield Christian Academy, falling 78-53.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Alayna Wright, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Gracie O?Neal, who posted 13 points.

Even though they lost, Millersport smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Berne Union came into Thursday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 39-29 win over Miller on Thursday.

Berne Union's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9. As for Millersport, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Everything came up roses for Millersport against Berne Union when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 57-6 win. Will Millersport repeat their success, or does Berne Union have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
