Basketball Recap: Tioga Comes Up Short

Tioga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a hard 63-46 fall against the Delta Charter Dragons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Timberwolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-39 back in January.

Delta Charter was led to victory by Christopher Valencia and Jaylen West. Valencia went 8 for 11 on his way to 21 points, while West almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. Jayden Walker was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Tioga's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Delta Charter, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-13.

Tioga will host Lodi Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Tioga is facing Lodi Academy at the right time seeing as Lodi Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Delta Charter, they will head out to square off against Vanguard College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Vanguard College Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58 points per game this season.
