Softball Recap: Rabun County Wildcats vs. Dawson County Tigers
Rabun County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-4 to the Dawson County Tigers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 6-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
River Evans made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI.
Rabun County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Dawson County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-13.
As of now, neither Rabun County nor Dawson County have any future games scheduled.
