Baseball Recap: Lee County Takes a Loss

Lee County managed to slip by J.H. Rose the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Yellow Jackets lost 15-2 to the Rampants on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Landon Miles was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Blane McDonald, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Lee County now has a losing record of 7-8. As for J.H. Rose, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lee County will face off against Scotland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for J.H. Rose, they will take on South Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Rampants' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
