Baseball Recap: Gaffney Takes a Loss

Gaffney came into this matchup off a tough 13-run loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Eastside Eagles by a score of 5-3 on Monday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Braden Beattie made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Gaffney now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Eastside, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

While Gaffney had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
