Catskill is 8-2 against Cairo-Durham since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Catskill is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Greenwich. The Cats came out on top against the Witches by a score of 9-5 on Wednesday.

Catskill's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Riley Street, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Cairo-Durham took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over Windham-Ashland-Jewett. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Jacob Young and Logan Walz were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Young tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Walz pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. At bat, Young scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3, while Walz scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Michael Pernice, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Peter Jobson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
