After flying high against Colbert County on Thursday, Rogers came back down to earth. Rogers took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Winfield on Friday. Rogers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Alona Davis was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Rogers' defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Winfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 21 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-5 record this season.
