Softball Recap: King Takes a Loss

King lost against Spoto back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The King Lions lost 19-3 to the Spoto Spartans. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly 16 runs.

Madeline Millican made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for King and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Spoto, their record is now 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King will head out to take on Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. King has given up an average of 16.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Spoto, they will venture away from home to challenge Leto at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
