Softball Recap: Cannon County Lions vs. Watertown Purple Tigers
Cannon County lost against Watertown back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cannon County Lions fell victim to a tough 13-6 defeat at the hands of the Watertown Purple Tigers. Cannon County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kennedi Clark was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with a triple, a run, and an RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Calamia, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Cannon County's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Watertown, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cannon County will take on Forrest at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Watertown, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Smith County at 5:30 p.m.
