Volleyball Game Preview: Evansville Christian Eagles vs. South Knox Spartans

The Evansville Christian Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the South Knox Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Evansville Christian sitting on seven straight wins and South Knox on four.

On Thursday, Evansville Christian got the win against Pleasant View Christian by a conclusive 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Evansville Christian was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-14, 25-11.

Allie Foreman and Jocee Weisenborn were among the main playmakers for Evansville Christian as the former had five digs and two aces and the latter had eight digs and one assist. Amiyah Carr also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Evansville Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 16 consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, South Knox earned a 3-1 victory over Bloomfield on Monday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 17-25, 25-20.

Evansville Christian's record now sits at 18-6. As for South Knox, their record is now 12-8.

Evansville Christian beat South Knox 3-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
