Baseball Recap: Vance County Takes a Loss

Vance County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 18-1 to the Carrboro Jaguars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vipers of the 16-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Vance County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jamaal Torrance, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Vance County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Carrboro, they pushed their record up to 3-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

While Vance County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
