Basketball Recap: St. John XXIII Gets the Win

St. John XXIII hadn't done well against Incarnate Word Academy recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, the St. John XXIII Lions made off with a 51-50 win over the Incarnate Word Academy Falcons. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

St. John XXIII's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-7. As for Incarnate Word Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
