Baseball Recap: Kentucky Country Day Comes Up Short

After soaring to 20 runs the game before, Kentucky Country Day was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell just short of the Holy Cross Cougars by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bearcats of the 12-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Tyler Wilson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and one double. That double was his first of the season.

Kentucky Country Day's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Holy Cross, the win got them back to even at 13-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kentucky Country Day will square off against Whitefield Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Holy Cross, they will take on Trinity Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
