Cross Roads is 9-1 against LaPoynor since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bobcats will welcome the Flyers at 6:00 p.m. Cross Roads is coming into the match hot, having won their last 11 games.

On Friday, Cross Roads got the win against Mildred by a conclusive 7-1. Considering the Bobcats have won 14 games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, LaPoynor has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.86 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They came up short against Mildred, falling 11-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Flyers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

LaPoynor saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stormy Kennedy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. That double was Kennedy's first of the season.

Cross Roads' win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for LaPoynor, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.
