After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Muskego, Hudson was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Chippewa Falls Cardinals. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted against the Cardinals since May 20, 2022.
Hudson got a great performance from Mark Susa as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Susa has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Sam Abrahamson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.
Hudson's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Chippewa Falls, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3-1.
Hudson will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cardinals: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
