Basketball Recap: Bunker Takes a Loss

Bunker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Carter Redbirds. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Redbirds are ranked 393rd).

Bunker's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-3. As for East Carter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

Bunker has already played their next match, a 61-35 win against Lesterville on the 25th. As for East Carter, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-46 loss against South Iron on the 25th.
