Softball Recap: Escalon Takes a Loss

Escalon was the 16-10 winner over Turlock when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Escalon Cougars came up short against the Turlock Bulldogs on Friday, falling 10-3. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ariana Velasco made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Escalon now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Turlock, they moved to 1-6 with that victory, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

Escalon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 12-4 win against Modesto on the 28th. As for Turlock, they will face off against Stagg at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
