Football Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Lincoln was riding high fresh off their 36-14 takedown of Yelm last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Abes fell 35-22 to the Camas Papermakers on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Abes of the 33-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Camas' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyson Ruggiero, who threw for 206 yards and four TDs while completing 78.3% of his passes. Thor Brody helped Ruggiero out on the ground, rushing for 113 yards and one touchdown, while also picking up 53 receiving yards.

Lincoln now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Camas, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will face off against Gig Harbor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Abes' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Camas, they will square off against West Linn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Papermakers will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
