Football Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Camas + How To Watch

Lincoln faced Camas in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Abes fell 35-22 to the Papermakers. The Abes were not able to make up for their loss to the Papermakers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Lincoln still got an impressive performance from Kasey Williams, who picked up 152 receiving yards.

Even if they lost, Lincoln's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Kaivone Cooks and Anthony Mancao, who racked up all four sacks between them. Mancao is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least six every time he's taken the field this season.

Camas' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyson Ruggiero, who threw for 206 yards and four touchdowns while completing 78.3% of his passes. Thor Brody helped Ruggiero out on the ground, rushing for 113 yards and one TD, while also picking up 53 receiving yards.

Lincoln now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Camas, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Lincoln has already played their next contest, a 39-23 victory against Gig Harbor on the 26th. As for Camas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 41-0 defeat against West Linn on the 26th.
