Football Recap: Monroe Takes a Loss

Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 35-14 to the Jefferson Eagles. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cheesemakers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Eagles are ranked 288th).

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Jefferson, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Monroe will take on rival Edgerton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Jefferson is set to challenge their familiar foe East Troy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
