Recap: Tahoma Bears vs. Orange Lutheran Lancers
The Tahoma Bears came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Orange Lutheran by a score of 69-59. Given Tahoma's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 16th in Washington, while Orange Lutheran is ranked 141st in California), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Dalton Brown, who scored 27 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Tahoma's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Davis, who scored 14 points.
Tahoma's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Orange Lutheran, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Tahoma won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pasadena at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th. As for Orange Lutheran, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Mater Dei at 7:00 p.m.
