Recap: Arroyo Dons vs. Tennyson Lancers
The Arroyo Dons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 13th straight loss. They fell 62-52 to Tennyson. Arroyo was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Tennyson apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Tennyson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was James Walker out in front who scored seven points along with 17 rebounds and three blocks. TraVon Gates was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds.
Arroyo's loss was their seventh straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-13. As for Tennyson, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arroyo will take on Hayward at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tennyson, they will be playing at home against Mt. Eden at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Mt. Eden is ranked 598th, while Tennyson is ranked 623rd).
