Basketball Game Preview: Dermott Rams vs. Brinkley Tigers

Dermott is on a ten-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Brinkley is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Dermott Rams will host the Brinkley Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dermott knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Brinkley likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Dermott beat Monticello 57-51.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Brinkley took on Clarendon on Tuesday. Brinkley walked away with a 66-54 win over Clarendon.

Brinkley has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.2 points per game. As for Dermott, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2.

Dermott strolled past Brinkley in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 69-52. Will Dermott repeat their success, or does Brinkley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
