Wall strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their defense stepped up to hand the Grape Creek Eagles a 48-0 shutout. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Hawks' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Eagles are ranked 839th).

Landon York had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 246 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (161.9). Jager Thompson was in the mix as well, providing Wall with three TDs.

Wall's record now sits at 9-0. As for Grape Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Wall will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Stanton at 7:00 p.m. on November 7. As for Grape Creek, they will challenge Merkel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
