Basketball Recap: Rio Rico Comes Up Short

Rio Rico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 87-66 to Tanque Verde. If Rio Rico was looking for revenge after losing 64-29 to Tanque Verde when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rio Rico's record is now 0-3. As for Tanque Verde, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Rio Rico will challenge ALA - Queen Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tanque Verde, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mountain View at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
